December Update

It has now been three months since work began on the site at Strawberry Hill. We are very thankful for the good weather which has enabled the work to continue thus far. At present work is still continuing on the retaining wall for the car park and this should be completed early in the New Year. Blockwork has now commenced on the main building, and drainage is being put in. The brickwork is due to commence in January.

It is with much sadness that we have to announce that one of the founding Trustees, Mr Harold Jempson, passed away early on Saturday 17th December, after several months of ill-health suffering from cancer. It was his vision to commence this project, which he felt strongly constrained to do. It was his desire that Strawberry Hill House be an ‘haven of rest’ for elderly Christians. We are thankful that he was enabled to see the project commence. But our loss is his gain, as he is now in the eternal presence of his Lord.

It is the desire of the remaining Trustees that the project be continued to fruition, and we seek your continued help, support and prayers to enable us to do so. May God have all the glory.
