About us

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith”  Galations 6:10

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide accommodation and assisted living for elderly people in the South East of England, especially those who adhere to the ethos of Christianity. We want to help those who are finding it increasingly difficult to manage in their own homes and who wish to live in a secure, modern environment. We aim to build apartments which will enable you to live independently in your own home for as long as possible.

With an ageing population, the Trustees feel that there is a great need for this type of accommodation for the elderly, but currently there is insufficient housing of this type.

Since the purchase of the land in Tunbridge Wells the desire of the Trustees remains the same – to involve as many people as possible in the project and above all we ask for your prayers and support as we proceed.

Our Story

The Oak Tree Homes Trust is a registered charity which was set up in early 2010. It is administered by voluntary Trustees who currently manage the project. The Trustees are Mr Stephen Jempson, Mrs Helen Jempson and Mr Brian Jempson.

Way back in 1935 a young man bought a small bakery in the village of Peasmarsh in East Sussex. The same year a tiny oak sapling was planted at the front of the property. In those days the business was very small and run by the young man, his wife and one baker. It was hard work, but with God’s help the business grew and it is now a third generation business. It is these descendants who have felt compelled to commence this venture. www.jempsons.com
